WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH
We are thankful that you stopped by to visit us on the Web. We trust that you will stay a while and visit, read, reflect upon and respond to the items we’ve included in our web site. If you are a resident in the Gastonia, N.C. area, we extend a warm welcome to you and your family and we encourage you to visit with us in worship often. If you are from out of town, you are always welcome to stop in and visit us as you are traveling the I- 85 corridor through the Piedmont section of North Carolina. Regardless of your method of visiting — whether through cyberspace or in person — we trust that you will experience a sense of warmth, care, peace, hope and joy that is born of God’s healing and redeeming love made tangible in Jesus – The Christ.
Welcome to Worship!
In the name of Jesus, who invites us with reconciling love and grace to join in the kingdom of God, Agape Evangelical Lutheran Church welcomes all who profess, or seek to profess, Jesus Christ as their Savior. Believing that the Gospel is God’s gift to all, we rejoice in the diversity of God’s people and welcome all, regardless of age, cultural and economic background, ethnic and linguistic heritage, gender, marital status, physical and mental ability, race, sexual orientation, or any other distinction. We are all one in God’s eyes, sharing in the free gifts of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we encourage all to take part in the life of this community as we worship, witness and openly share the love of God through Christ our Lord.
Agape Embraces New Members!
The joy we receive as members is something we wish to share and is experienced by far too few of us. We welcome you to partake of the gifts God has bestowed on us and contribute those He gave to you! Worship with us, attend our events, get to know our members. By doing so we hope God’s love will move you to join us.

HOW IS AGAPE STRUCTURED?
The organization of Agape is driven by the four basic functional areas of the church, as represented by the four relationships of the Church [up, down, in and out]. By organizing this way, everything we do will come under the responsibility of these four focus teams plus an administrative team providing the overall, underlying support.
